Nikia is a Greek mountain village on the edge of the semi-dormant Nisyros volcano crater. It is located 18 km southwest of Mandraki, about 400m above sea level. Nikia is one of the few busy settlements on the island of Nisyros.

Nikia has an elliptic shape and offers amazing views over the caldera and the sea. White houses with flat tile roofs, brightly colored doors and windows create an impressive contrast against the black volcanic rocks and the flowered yards. It takes about an hour or so to reach the volcano.

The famous Porta village square is paved with fine black pebbles (known in the local as hochlakia) which form a beautiful mosaic. on the square is also the Church of the Virgin Mary (Issodia Tis Theotokou). It hosts ancient wall paintings and rare icons. In Nikia is also the Volcanic Museum, the only one of its kind in Greece. Behind the museum there is a small street with stairs to a higher point where is the Prophet Elias Church.
