Museu CR7 (Cristiano Ronaldo Museum in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal)
The Museu CR7 is a museum that is dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo’s trophies. It is located in Funchal, Madeira. In front of the museum, there is a bronze statue of Cristiano Ronaldo. The museum was inaugurated on 15 December 2013 by Ronaldo himself and his son, who had the honour to unveil the plaque that marks the inauguration. At the opening, the collection had 126 trophies on display. On 6 June 2016, the museum was reopened, having moved to a new larger location on the Praça do Mar, also in Sé, Funchal, occupying a 1.400 space below the Pestana CR7 Hotel.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Funchal (CR7 Museum on the Island of Madeira). Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Manchester United paid £12 million to sign him in 2003 (a record fee for a player of his age). In the 2004 FA Cup final, he scored Manchester’s first three goals and helped them capture the championship. In 2008, he set a franchise record for goals scored. In 2009, Real Madrid paid a record $131 million for his services.
The exhibition includes photographs and videos emblematic of the athlete’s career and wax works of Ronaldo with pictorial backgrounds with which visitors can take photographs. The museum has all the youth and professional trophies won at the clubs of CF Andorinha, Nacional da Madeira, Sporting CP, Manchester United and Real Madrid, and the Portugal national team.
