Liberation Festival 2022 in Brielle, The Netherlands
The Brielle Liberation Festival took place in 2022 from 4 to 8 May.For four days, the Dutch fortified town Brielle was completely dominated by the end of WWII and young and old alike commemorated the commemoration and liberation.

Veterans (organisations) played an important role during the Liberation Festival and organized many activities, such as a parade.Re-enactment encampments from the May days of 1945 were also recreated, on both the German and Allied sides, and a field hospital.One of the highlights of the festival was the Mock Battle (fake fight) at ‘t Scharloo.
