The Merkske is a small stream on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. It has its source in the former Eendegoorven and then flows west to flow into the northward flowing Mark at Minderhout. The section from source to Zondereigen is also called “Schouwloop”.

A nature reserve called Vallei van het Merkske are parts of the valley that are owned by nature organizations Natuurpunt, Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos and Staatsbosbeheer. Wet meadows lie along the meandering stream. Numerous bird species breed in this varied landscape. There are also several amphibians in the area.
