The beaches of the Netherlands can be divided in three groups: the Wadden Islands, the coastline of the provinces North-Holland and South-Holland, and Zeeland.

Texel is the largest of the Wadden Islands. You will find a total of eighteen miles of sandy beach here. Besides Texel, the other four islands are Terschelling, Vlieland, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog have also a lot of beaches.
The widest and whitest beach in the Netherlands is located near Callantsoog. Popular beach resorts in North-Holland and South-Holland are Katwijk, Noordwijk, Zandvoort, Bloemendaal, Hoek van Holland, Bergen aan Zee, Den Helder, Egmond aan Zee and Schoorl.
Scheveningen is the most popular beach resort of the Netherlands. Besides the beach, pier and numerous pavilions the town offers all sorts of entertainment.
